General Course Description

A study of the principles, policies and practices used to develop human resources in modern organizations and to highlight the increasing role of HRM as a center stage in organizations. Topics cover general definitions of HRM as well as special functions such as strategic planning, job analysis, recruitment and selection, performance evaluation, compensation, benefits, training, career development and organizational development. Students will learn that HRM is a function that must play a vital role in the success of organizations since HRM is an active participant in charting the strategic course an organization must take to remain competitive, productive, and efficient.
